Birthday during Coronavirus

‪My birthday was Saturday & because it’s unsafe to be anywhere my honey & I hopped in the car early yesterday morning, filled the gas tank & took a long drive. It was a beautiful day, we left about 9am and didn’t get home til 8pm. 2 pee stops. It’s amazing how your kidney’s know you’re not near a bathroom and then when you’re getting close to home, they wake up! LOL

We drove into the Everglades & then made our way East to South Beach and along the coast, North thru Broward & home to Palm Beach. We had a beautiful day. Richard packed lunch for us. We grabbed drinks at Starbucks. If I’m not able to go out and for us be able to do the things I love to do, then being alone with my honey on my birthday is the absolute best. It saddens me to say that all over the beaches in Miami and Broward County the mask wearing people were a tiny percent of the overall crowds who were on the beaches, in the bars and restaurants. Many places places were packed and there was ZERO social distancing. Maybe one out of every 20 people were wearing a mask.

I am so disappointed in the people who are so freaking selfish that they can’t wear a mask. And we have an asshole for a President who is leading by example of “How to be an asshole 101”. He refuses to wear a mask & refuses to even tell people directly to do so. Leaders lead people to better things, he’s leading people to revolt.

It’s damn hot where I live, it’s hot 8 months out of the year, really comfortable for about 2 months, bearable the other 2. Do you think I want to wear a mask? Hell no! I do, not because it’s the law or I was told I had to. I wear a mask because I don’t want to get infected and die.

I wear a mask because it saddens me to say, I can’t trust my fellow Americans to stay home if they’re sick & cancel their damn hair or nail or tanning appointment.

I wear a mask because my fellow Americans have shown me they are selfish and rather than wear a mask and social distance in order to stop the spread, they do the opposite. Why?

I wear a mask because you’ve been conned into thinking you won’t be able to breathe, yet thousands of hours long medical procedures are performed every day with thousands of medical staff wearing more than one mask who are able to breathe just fine.

I wear a mask because you won’t. If you’d wear one, we could get through this a lot faster.

Wear a damn mask please. It’s a lot easier to wear a mask a ventilator.

Welcome to my thoughts. I'm unconventional & don’t fit in your box. I see things many don’t. My opinion is mine, you don’t have to agree. Don’t hate me for it.
